As a sequel to my “A Question Oft’ Asked” post, I have decided to share my art inspirations. Just as there are movies that spark my filmmaking creativity, there are artists who inspire me as well.
Iain McCaig (my overall artist role model) – concept/storyboard artist and illustrator
Alex Ross – comic and graphic novel artist
Andrew Loomis – authour of Figure Drawing for all it’s Worth
Glen Keane – Disney animator
Luke Ross (not related to Alex Ross) – pencil artist for Samurai: Heaven and Earth
Victoria Frances – Spanish illustrator (I’m not a fan of gothic or darker subjects, but her rendering skills are just beautiful.)
Norman Rockwell – 20th century American illustrator
